BIOGRAPHY
Bob Snider
Toronto singer-songwriter, Bob Snider has been called “a living legend”, “a talent not to be missed” and “author of some of the best Canadian songs of the decade”. Bob is signed to EMI Music Canada and distributed by Artisan Music, a new specialty label owned by EMI.

Bob’s start came in 1986, busking on the street corners of Toronto just happy to have an audience for his wry and often sardonic folk songs. Since that time Bob has crossed the country several times, has become a folk festival mainstay and has appeared on national television and radio programs including Much Music’s “The New Music” and the CBC’s “Ear To The Ground”.

Bob’s songs have been covered by several artists; most notably “What An Idiot He Is” was a featured track on the debut double platinum international release Hi, How Are You Today, by alterna-fiddler, Ashley MacIssac (Ancient Music/A&M.)

Caterwaul & Doggerel, Bob’s first release for EMI (1995) met with rave reviews. Through out his career Bob has earned the respect of many prominent Canadian musicians such as Ron Sexsmith (Interscope), Moxy Fruvous (Warner), Change Of Heart (Virgin) and Meryn Cadell; most of whom appeared on Poetreason, a Bob Snider tribute album released on EMI in 1996. March 1997 saw the release of the critically acclaimed Words & Pictures, Bob’s third album for EMI (and first for the new Artisan imprint.
