Aston Villa
Musicians: Fred Franchitti - Vocals Hocine Hallaf - Guitar J.B. Moray - Bass Franck Picant - Guitar Laurent Muller - Drums
This group, out of the French Rock Scene, has existed for five years. Their music is a mixture of blues, pop and high energy groove. Aston Villa is not your typical French group. In January '94, they opened for The Silencers in Paris, and a month later, the music T.V. channel MCM awarded them First Prize as Best Rock Band. Several record labels were interested in them. They toured in France, including the famous festival "Transmusicales de Rennes." The highlight of this tour was being selected as opening act for Joe Crocker's French Tour. At this point Chrysalis, EMI and BMG were making offers. Contact with peermusic came from a recommendation by the A&R of BMG. Simultaneously, MCA, EMI and BMG Publishing were chasing after the group. They finally signed an artist's contract with BMG and a publishing contract with peermusic. Look forward to the release of their first album.
