Captain Jack started his firstmusical attack on the charts in the summer of 1995 and took off like a rocket: 7 platinum and 12 gold awards along with worldwide top-ten charttoppers were among the conquests of his Eurodance hits like "Drill Instructor", "Soldier, Soldier" and "Captain Jack". The dancefloor smashes from this peace-loving Captain guaranteed just the right drill on the dancefloor, his tight sound defining the "Military-Dance" genre. Diverse awards domestically and abroad followed, and in 1997 he received three "Echo" nominations and was designated as "Best Dance Act" by VIVA TV.

In 1999, CAPTAIN JACK did a co-production together with the "GIPSY KINGS" in Austin, Texas of the summer hit, "GET UP!", a cover version of Abanda. An appearance under the banner of "Captain Jack featuring the Gipsy Kings" took place on July 17th, 1999 in Mallorca's bullfight arena, together with the Backstreet Boys, Ricky Martin, Lou Bega and Gerry Halliwell.

Military-dance-icon Captain Jack was born as Francisco Gutierrez in Havana/Cuba. He emigrated to Miami as teenager together with his family and finally arrived in Frankfurt/Main with the military in the 80's. After his army days he stayed in Frankfurt where he worked at first as successful broker and later on as accepted DJ. He's opened the CuBar, a Cuban restaurant in the center of Frankfurt where he sometimes even cooks himself! Regardless of whether in the restaurant or in the disco - a party is guaranteed wherever Captain Jack shows up in his uniform! His crazy antics and his bubbling South American esprit ensure attention and a sensation - the Dance Commander has made a name for himself with both the media and fans in recent years as the life of the party.In the middle of the 90's he decided to perform as artist - the rest is history now. Captain Jack has become a trademark and is considered as one of the most successful dance artists of all-time. All-rounder Franky also published his debut novel "R.A.T.T.S." under his author name "Frank G. Davies", a breathtaking intelligence corps thriller which is based upon true background information from the US army.
