Damiano Dattoli
Damiano Dattoli was one of the most active Italian bass player in the 60s. He appears in most of the best-selling records released in these decade.
He was a successful composer too who was responsible for the massive 70s Italian hit ‘Io Vagabondo’. This song is timeless and is still popular today and it is one of the top 20 songs logging the most performances with SIAE every year. He also composed ‘Un Corpo e Un Anima’, song that won Canzonissima, the pupular Italian Music Festival, in 1975.
Damiano recently started composing again after many years and just wrote the music for ‘Respirando’ (Peer Edizioni Musicali), one of the songs on the latest Ornella Vanoni’s album partly recorded in Milan peer’s studio. It has been released through the WEA owned label CGD/East West in April and reached No.8 in the Italian Album Charts.
