Decai
The three young members of DECAI are Pablo Iglesias, Emi Núñez and Franci "Chicó" Dominguez, age 20, 21 and 20 respectively.
DECAI is the first flamenco-pop band that blends electronic pop and reggaeton with the capacity to touch people with their love stories. Their debut album "Y ESO ES LO QUE HAY" ("And That’s What There Is...") it’s a "real dream" that began when Pablo, after being member of HABANA with Andy & Lucas) decided to compose and proposed to his two pals to make up a band. After that, rehearsals and thanks to ABRIL (peermusic Spain Artist & Writer), the opportunity to make a demo with peermusic Española, who pitched it to different record companies until Vale Music got interested and finally signed them. The album was planned some time ago but it was between November 2004 and January 2005 when DECAI entered at Villarecords studios in San Fernando (Cádiz) to start working on the record ending up in Barcelona where they finished the recordings under the direction of brothers Toni and Xasqui Ten.
"Y ESO ES LO QUE HAY" includes 12 tracks. The first single "TE HARIA UNA CASITA" was penned by Pablo Iglesias member of the band, who is also the author of six other tracks of the album. "LLORO PORQUE NO LA TENGO","HAZME UNA CARICIA","HOY TE QUIERO RECORDAR","ATAME","SUEÑO CON SU CARA". Other compositions of the record are good enough to become singles in a near future.
"NENA" composed by ABRIL is one of the band’s leading songs, "SIEMPRE BUSCARÉ","SABOR DECAI","BESOS SIN AMOR" and "NO DIGAS NUNCA" complete a list of tracks composed by COTI, ABRIL and DAVID VILLAR. They also include the song "USTED SE ME LLEVO LA VIDA" (Donato & Estefano) that became popular some years ago in the voice of Alexander Pires (So Pra Contrariar). All themes belong to Peermusic Española’s catalogue.
Pablo, Franci and Emi know each other ever since they were kids, together they shared games and their love for music in the streets of Cádiz. Their passion for music took them to be part of Cadiz’ carnival, Spain’s most famous. By now, DECAI’s music is extremely popular in their homeland Andalucia. In the rest of Spain, their debut album "Y ESO ES LO QUE HAY" which remains in the sales charts since the week after they appeared, is going all the way to become gold... And this is just the beginning.
