Dee Adam
Dee was originally the driving force behind the all girl writing team 'Shanti' and was signed to BMG Publishing for 5 years where she had several releases with the likes of Lene Nystrom, Hearsay, No Angels and many dance releases via KYR records. Dee has also done numerous production/ writing gigs for the BBC including the 'Fame Academy' series as well as doing vocal production for 'Jamison'.
Her unique lyrical affluence stems from childhood having had her first poem and collection of short stories published at the age of twelve. By the time she was 14 she had already created her own music magazine where she was interviewing numerous bands prior to their fame- amongst the many to be featured in her publication where The Smiths, The Cult, Mr. Mister and Jesus Jones to name but a few. ITV then made a documentary about her publication and her ability to sense good music before it became successful. It was being around such inspiring musicians and her genuine passion and hunger for music that initiated her to create her own compositions. Not being content with just writing songs Dee then embarked to learn music production and programming.
In November 2005 Dee branched away from the Shanti project and turned her attention to working with new collaborators, this has opened up even more creative doors and amplified her talent ten fold.
Recently she has been writing and working with Jackson and Cassidy- (Alternative Country), Ben Parker (Ben and Jason), Henrik Korpi (Murlyn) and Innocent (UK Hip Hop rapper) as well as Tim Fraser (Tina Turner) and Steve Lee (Will Young/ Brittany Spears) and Jason Nevins. Proving her talent in all fields of Song-writing and production as well as her diversity. Most of all Dee leans towards writing Singer/ Songwriter styled tunes but is also driven towards quirky pop and trip hop production, here she is her element.
2007 looks like being a promising year, kicking off with a writing trip to Germany where Dee will be working with ‘Boom’, Peter Reis and Smallboy. Dee is currently producing tracks for Billie Myers and Innocent as well as writing for Tony Christie. Writing with Garry Kemp is due to commence in December.
For the last six months she has been developing her own project with UK Rap artiste 'Innocent'. Together they have written a collection of definitive Rap/ Hip Hop tunes that have already began to stir immense interest from the Music industry. Her original and left of centre production has created an awe inspiring platform for Innocent's poetic genius. Together with British Intelligence’s producer, Steve Laver, she has completed, what is anticipated to be, Innocent’s debut album.
