Enrique Cadicamo
Poet, writer and theatrical author, he was born in 1900 in Buenos Aires.
His lyrics accompanied an extensive list of musical compositions by Juan D’Arienzo, Ricardo Malerba, Charlo, J.C.Cobian, Lucio Demare, etc. Enrique Cadícamo was one of the greatest poets of Buenos Aires. His verses covered the most extensive subjects.
Undoubtedly, Enrique Cadícamo was one of the more prolific songwriters of our popular music. Some of his tangos include: Cafe de Barracas, Canción del Inmigrante, Naipe, Nunca Tuvo Novio, Rondando Tu Esquina, Tango Gris, etc.
Enrique Cadícamo passed away in December 1999.
