Foolproof
Foolproof hail from Orange County, the punk rock /
hardcore capital of the world, and have been turning heads with their fast and furious shows.
Formed over five years ago, the band realized that most of
their contemporaries refused to look beyond their
hardcore heritage – so they decided to branch out and
supply a blueprint for others to follow.
Feasting on a varied musical diet, which includes the
somewhat unlikely flavors of the Foo Fighters, Weezer,
Boston and System of a Down, Foolproof weld a
framework that combines the drop-kick aggression and
subtle fret gymnastics of Finch with the
tighter-than-a-latex-glove riffery and infectious
melody of Foo Fighters. In the words of Joel the
guitarist, "It's just fun, high-energy, and for better
or worse, you can't get it out of your head." But
these guys also pepper their gritty anthems with
elements of electronica and folk. “We like to rock,
but that’s not all we’re about,” says the guitarist.
“The biggest thing about us is the diversity – I think
that’s what we do best.”
The bold, genre-defying aural assault boots convention
into touch, putting Foolproof in a league of their
own. So, fasten your seatbelts, Foolproof are about to
smash everything you thought you knew about
pop-punk-rock. Forever.
