Gavin Rossdale
Gavin McGregor Rossdale is the singer, guitarist, songwriter and frontman of Bush. He was born on October 30, 1967 in England.
Before the success with Bush, Gavin sang in the band “Midnight”. They put out a single but didn’t do so well. When Bush came out English labels weren’t that interested in Gavin thinking of him as “used goods” because he didn’t do well the first time.
Bush became the first post Nirvana British band to hit it big in America. Formed in late ’92 by Rossdale, the band landed an American record deal before they had a British label. The release of debut album “Sixteen Stone” was like a bomb, not in England but in the states where the record became a huge success and today it has sold over 8 million copies with some help from MTV.
Two years later in 1996 the second album “Razorblade Suitcase” hit the Billboard top spot immediately. After “Razorblade Suitcase”, Bush went out on tour in Europe and America and played at several summer festivals including Reading and Rock am Ring.
1999 saw Bush release their third album “The Science Of Things.
