George Leong
George was born in the year 1970 to a musical family in Singapore. Having a mother who was a piano teacher, he took up formal classical piano lessons at the age of 4 and also the Electone organ at 11 years. In secondary school, he took the Cambridge General Music Examinations. He also played the trombone in the school military band and later during his senior year was elected as the conductor for the Symphonic Wind Ensemble. Trained in both classical piano and pop keyboards, he played lounge piano in hotels for pocket money while still in school.

After secondary education, he pursued his interest in computers by taking up a course in Electronic engineering at the Polytechnic. It was when he won a songwriting competition in the Polytechnic that gave him the confidence to continue honing his skills as a songwriter. His interest in both electronics and music led him to create music with the use of computers and synthesizers.

In 1987, he met a prominent producer in Singapore who recognized George's talents and invited him to "learn the ropes" of arranging, producing and recording. When he was 17, he arranged his first song for the Taiwanese artist Lan Sin Mei's album "Colorful Dance". This was followed by working with other well known producers such as Tso Jun Hung, Jim Lee, Johnny Chen, Huang Yi, and Jonathan Lee.

With the natural talent for music, he started writing commercially at the young age of 19 including "See You Again" for Alex To in 1992. In the meantime, he has made a successful career in the record industry arranging and producing for various artists.
