Hugo Fuguet
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, on March 29, 1974, Hugo Fuguet has worked as a professional guitar player with more than 40 renowned musicians in live presentations both here and abroad. He has also worked on recordings of more than 50 studio albums by acts such as Frank Quintero, Mayre Martinez, Omar Enrique, Ilan Chester, Yordano, Jeremias, Vocal Son, Johnny Sigal and others. He oversaw the production of four very successful musical theatrical productions in Venezuela and composed and recorded the guitar portion of more than 300 TV commercials. He has also written and produced material for pop, rock and jazz musicians. For more than three years he was a professor at the Workshop School of Jazz in Caracas, and has also given many clinical guitar forums.
As a solo act, Fuguet recorded his first CD “Desde Tan Lejos” (From So Far Away) in 2004. The album contains 9 cuts all written, arranged and produced by him. During his promo tour he closed, as a special guest, one of the most famous Jazz festivals in Valencia.
His second CD, “Nueve Dias”, (Nine Days) was released in 2009. All cuts in the disk were composed, arranged and produced by Hugo himself. They range through the gamut of the many styles that have influenced his musical career, but always within Jazz. Fuguet is presently in the middle of a promo tour of “Nueve Dias”, which has received critical acclaim..
