Lethargy was founded in 1998; their songs are a fusion of voice and machine. From the beginning they have had the support of important radio programs in Spain such as “Siglo 21”, “Diario Pop” etc… Now convinced that they have something positive to bring to the electronic music scene they release their first album “Escapa” through their own label “Nucleo Records”.

Since I can remember my life has been full of music. My mother is a singer and that allowed me grow up in an atmosphere where art and music became a very integral part of my life. Later, I had my own record shop and I have mad incursions as a singer in several bands as “Vicious Soul” and D.J. Mikeem. I have always been interested in machines and synthesizers, so when I met Julio everything matched, he has lots of machines and from the beginning we started to fuse our ideas and musical influences together drawing from bands such as Joy Division, The Cure, Sonic Youth, Bauhaus, and Anne Clark just to name a few.
Julio
I remember my admiration for those keyboards with accompaniment rhythms that my friends had. Later, I started playing the Saxophone and collaborating with other bands. I worked as a DJ in many different clubs and while experimenting with the sounds I started to compose what was to be the base of the future sound of Lethargy. My influences are Anne Clark, Front 242, Nitzereb, Skinny Puppy, Massive Attack, Orbital, Letfield, Recoil… among others.
