This project begins 3 years ago when Diego Solórzano stops being a DJ and starts a rock band, among those years he found the final members of “Los Dynamite”.
Los Dynamite is a mexican band that had found a particular sound that haven’t being heard much in México. When they are song-writting, they combine different sounds and genders. Their influence goes from Daft Punk (absolutely electronic) to Happy Mondays, Rod Stewart, The velvet underground, between others.
In spite of their short career on stage, they had played in important events like:
Interpol´s Mexican tour, Creamfields (Stellastar and Audiobullys) and in The Corona Fest (Incubus and The Stills). They had share stage with The Secret Machines, Dirty Pretty Things, The Kills, The Juan Mclean, The Faint, Hot Hot Heat, Soulwax, 2manydjs, The Long Blondes,etc.
Their first single appears in latin American TELCEL´s campaig during the summer of 2005. In the same year Reactor 105.7 puts them on the top- 9 with “TV”. This song was one of the 105.7 best songs on 2006. “TV” and “KATATONIC” were on the first place in Radio Ibero 90.9 during the second semester of the year. The Rolling Stone magazine puts them on top- 3 of the best new latin bands.
Rockampeonato Telcel 2006 se dio a conocer el 12 de
Julio para buscar a la nueva major banda de rock del país. Para encontrarla, Los
Dynamite, Zoé, Joselo (Café Tacvba) y Los Odio (Proyecto alterno de Paco
Huidobro) comenzaron en septiembre una gira de 10 fechas, llegando a
ciudades como: León, GDL, Monterrey, Chihuahua, Hermosillo, Tijuana, D.F.
Mérida, Xalapa y Puebla, siendo la gran final el 2 de diciembre en el Palacio de
los Deportes.
In 2006,Los Dynamite shared the stage with Bloc Party, Elefante and Metric,and late in that same year they launched their first single witch led to promote their LP named “Ready Ready”. It had a very strong presence in two of the local radio stations, as well in the video music channels. In summer, the convocation to a national dimension contest started to spread out/ broadcast.
En ese transcurso pasaron cosas importantes. Septiembre fue el mes que dio a
luz a su disco debut: “Greatest Hits”. A 4 meses de su lanzamiento, el disco
lleva más de 12,000 discos vendidos, ha conseguido aparecer en el Top 15 de la
lista de tiendas de discos más importante del país y por si fuera poco, Greatest
Hits también se encuentra en la reconocida lista de ventas de AMPROFON,
habiendo llegado al puesto al #17 en octubre de este mismo año.
Otro sencillo empezó a sonar también. Se trata de la única canción del disco que
está cantada en español: “ No Me Sueltes” empezó a escucharse a mediados de
octubre y también ha sido de gran aceptación por parte de los medios y los fans.
Mucho trabajo queda por hacer para el 2007. Por lo pronto, Ready Ready cierra
el año colocándose en el #24 de la lista de las 105.7 mejores canciones del 2006
(Reactor FM) y sin duda más tracks de los Greatest Hits de Los Dynamite
llenarán las listas del 2007.
