Lydia
Lydia's voice is like the song of the sea, strong and fresh, full of nuances and tenderness. In her, the purest poetic talent and a vital intensity coexist in natural balance which together with a new and original style, captivate and surprise right from the start. That voice and that style are fully reflected in Lydia's second album, an exaltation of life and love under the gaze of this young singer and composer whose talent the work reveals with great freshness and an unusual and early maturity.
In "Cien veces al día", Lydia has wanted to follow her own intuition and the pattern of her musical expressions: funky, soul, pop and dance music. When it comes to singing, she points out that "what counts is expressing as much as possible with your voice. There are many singers with a most peculiar timbre, but if they've made it, it's because they express. My timbre has changed a bit, but what continues to be more important is the way of singing and of saying things".
The album has been produced by A.F.Productions except for two songs produced by Juan Luis Giménez (Presuntos Implicados). Vicente Sabater (Premio de la Música award to the best sound engineer) has been the person in charge of the table during recording of the album and Sandy McLelland and Oscar Vinader were responsible for mixing the record. All tracks were recorded in Valencia and Madrid and an assembly of great musicians like Gino Pavone (percussion), John Parsons (guitars), Nacho Mañó (bass guitar), Juan Luis Giménez (choirs), Luis Fernandez (pianos), Angel Celada (drums), Javier Quilez (bass guitar), etc. collaborated in the recording.
This time around, Lydia offers us eleven songs composed mostly by herself and by Fernando Rodríguez and Alejandro Piqueras (A.F. Productions).
