Musician, composer and director, Mariano Mores was born in Buenos Aires on February 18th, 1918.

Mariano Mores is undoubtedly a successful artist. His music has extensively enjoyed media coverage: albums, radio, theatre, TV and films. He showed exceptional inspiration and intelligence which helped him musicalize the lyrics written by most of our greatest und undisputed tango poets. Some of his greatest works were written with Enrique Santos Discépolo and include: "Cafetín de Buenos Aires" and "Uno".

His popularity extended throughout Argentina. He also enjoys enormous prestige abroad. Like someone said: "the melody plays on his head".

Mariano Mores is an inspired composer of true classics of the tango genre, both for the quality and the commercial success of his songs. Other major works include: "Sin Palabras", "El Firulete", "Cristal", "Tu Piel de Jazmín", just to name a few.
