Mia Kulba
Eighteen year old Mia Kulba’s stylized vocal performances and dynamic songwriting have awarded her the chance to hone her songwriting skills with award winning writers from Nashville, NYC, LA to Toronto. Most recently Mia has been actively co-writing with Jeff Trott, a Nettwerk Producer and Song Writer in LA, best known for his work producing Sheryl Crow, Counting Crows, Stevie Nicks and Jeremy Toback and writing with Sheryl Crow (If It Makes You Happy, My Favorite Mistake, Santa Monica Blvd.)
Anyone who knows Mia will confirm that she is 'aura enriched' with musical artistry. From an early age, Winnipeg Music Festival adjudicators recognized her unique vocal performances with 'Best of Class' Awards in the Italian Art Song, Gilbert & Sullivan, Musical Theatre and Soprano Solo categories. Since age 8, Mia has studied with vocal coach, Helga Anderson (B.Ed. Music, MRMT of the University of Manitoba, School of Music) and taken the Royal Conservatory of Music vocal exams achieving some of the highest marks in Canada. Her unique performance and vocal style also caught the attention of Producer / Directors of Rainbow Stage and Manitoba Opera who cast her in their productions of The Sound of Music, Oklahoma, Carmen, and La Boheme.
In the recent months Mia’s songs have been placed in Falcon Beach, Queer As Folk, CTV television series The Eleventh Hour and ‘Just Like January’ will be released by Canadian Idol winner Melissa O’Neil on her Sony BMG Music Canada debut in November.
