Nirlon Sanchez was born in the city of Barrancabermeja, Colombia on February 14, 1963. He took courses at the university pursuing a career in law and completed 10 academic semesters before he left to pursue other endeavors.
Nirlon had many passions in his life, a true Renaissance man. He had many other talents besides music. Nerlon was also a professional soccer player and played on teams such as Real Cartagena, Cucuta Deportive and Millonarios. Furthermore, he was also an actor on a various number of television programs. Finally, as a composer he has participated in many festivals such as FESTIBUGA and in the OTI singing contest.
Nirlon has been given much respect from many artist and orchestras. This is evident by all the recording of his songs. Fruko and sus Tesos, Guayacan orchestra, Wilfrido Vargas, The Latin Brothers, Carruseles Sonora, Dario Gomez, Atrato River, Gale Group, Sandunga, Caneo Group, just to name a few.
Furthermore, his compositions have been widely accepted in the international arena. NIRLON SANCHEZ has composed more than 160 songs in his lifetime. Currently, he directs the Loret Orchestra and the Clave Vallenata Group of singers, where he is also a singer.
