Reinaldo
Reinaldo "Pachy" Lopez
Better known as Pachy, he grew up running through the streets of Havana, the city that gave birth to him. With artistic traditions in his family stemming from his father, he acquired an aptitude for music and a particular inclination for the guitar, an instrument that he began learning at the mere age of eight.

His initiation as an artist took place at age 14 when he joined the world of theatre. Pachy gained recognition as he successfully performed throughout the island in diverse youth festivals and won several awards. Years later he decided to combine his musical aptitude with his theatrical talent and began to write songs for plays of other important writers and later won an award for his music.

It was 1990 when Pachy was given the opportunity to travel to the city of Panama to participate in an artistic event. He took this as an opportunity to leave Cuba as well and flee the Castro regime. In 1991, he arrived in Miami and found himself obligated to set aside his artist endeavors for awhile in order to secure his financial status. In 1992, Pachy joined a vocal group called VOCEZZ. After a very short time, he became the director and incorporated many of the songs from his repertoire into his new group.

In 1993, Pachy publicized his songs in the voices of talented artists such as: Luis Enrique, Rey Ruiz, Jerry Rivera, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Victor Manuelle, Giro and Lourdes Robles among others. He found success with hits such as "El Rey Del Mundo" (Rey Ruiz) and "Romanticos Al Rescate" (Luis Enrique). Pachy has also composed for Alejandro Martinez (BMG, singer/actor), Lenny Medina (BMG, formerly of Ilegales), Lucrecia (Universal) and most recently Jaime Camil (EMI Mexico), etc.

Pachy continues to write for artists and collaborate with others as he takes his place among the talented members of the Latin music world.
