Prince Royce Signs Exclusive Publishing Deal with peermusic
Miami, FL, August 20, 2013 - Peermusic CEO, Ralph Peer II today announced the worldwide exclusive co-publishing agreement with talented Sony/RCA artist producer Prince Royce.
Royce (real name Geoffrey Royce Rojas) is the leading break-out Latin artist over the past three years having inked five Number 1 singles and winning Latin Songwriter of the Year at the 2013 BMI Awards. With an unstoppable artistic force, Royce tours internationally and judges on the smash hit Spanish music competition show, La Voz while his new single, “Darte Un Beso,” instantly obtained the #2 spot on Billboard’s Hot Latin Tracks (1 of 3 songs he currently has in the Top 20). Additionally, Royce is set to continue his Latin pop culture domination and will be releasing his third full length album in October 2013 on Sony Discos. Peermusic publishes the current single and the songs on the upcoming new album as well as administers songs contained on his previous album entitled “Phase II” (on indie Top Stop Records).
Royce is handled by uber-manager David Sonenberg (Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, Will.i.am, John Legend). He is the first Latin artist that David has signed and his intent is to create a true crossover star. Having co-written songs with Toby Gad (If I Were a Boy, Big Girls Don’t Cry) and superstar Selena Gomez, Royce has set the landscape to break out in the Pop world. Royce is currently signed to Sony for the Latin market and to RCA in the English market. Royce's first English language album will be released in 2014.
"peermusic is a perfect fit for Prince Royce. A family run independent with strong roots in the Latin community and offices globally, including a great studio in Miami where Royce can make music close to home." DAVID SONENBERG
Congratulations to the U.S. peermusic team which include Sam Kling (VP & A&R Film & Television) and Julio Bagué (Executive Director Miami and Puerto Rico) as the creative leads with Kathy Spanberger (President and Chief Operating Officer) overseeing the negotiations. peermusic welcomes Prince Royce to their exclusive family of songwriters!
"Royce is certainly the top emerging talent in the US Latin music market. What distinguishes this signing even further is that he is also very much on track to become an international cross-over star. Born of Dominican parents and growing up in the Bronx, Royce is a guy who thinks in both cultures. This is where the world is going."
